Youthbuild
- Under a program financed in-part by a HUD
grant, 32 young men and women, ages 16 to 24, will be
provided an opportunity to study for their high school
equivalency diplomas. The Program participants will
also be provided training in leadership and construction
skills that will help them prepare for a variety of
careers. Goodwill Industries, the lead agency, will
manage the Youthbuild program developed through a collaborative
effort with UNO, Metro Community College, Habitat for
Humanity and Turning Point. The initial training classes
began in July 2005 and subsequent classes are scheduled
to continue through May 2008. For more information on

Tri-County
Partnership for Youth Development Under a contract
with the City of Omaha, Goodwill Industries will utilize
office & training facilities at Turning Point and
other sites in the urban Omaha area to provide job readiness
and leadership training and vocational and/or educational
placement to over 330 disadvantaged youth ages 16 to
21 years old. Goodwill, the lead agency, will partner
with Boys & Girls Clubs of Omaha, Heartland Family
Services and Metropolitan Community College to provide
