Urban Plunge is an inner-city mission trip sponsored by Christ for the City International. Each weekend, one or more youth groups or church teams of 10-20 members from around the region bring sleeping bags and experience nine different ministries in Omaha’s inner-city. The participants sleep at the Turning Point campus, go to jail, feed the homeless, sort and hand out clothes, attend a church where...if you show up...you get a bag of groceries. The “Plunge” isn’t just about serving the poor - the people participating in the Plunge discover their passion & gifting and how they can use their gifts to join God where He’s working in Omaha or back home.
